With the demise of Killington as the East's mogul mountain, Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT (www.sugarbush.com) has picked up the slack is now the East's premier mogul skiing destination.  On any given midwinter day, you can find upwards of 35 trails of solid bumps.  Some of the most renowned skiing in New England can be found on Lincoln Peak's Castlerock mountain, where steeps, bumps, and narrow lines come to together to form a challenging bump skiing experience.  As incredible as the offerings at Lincoln Peak are, better lines tend to form at Sugarbush's Mt. Ellen area, due to less holiday and weekend crowds.

In fact, this season, Sugarbush has announced a plan to focus on moguls at Mt. Ellen.  Skiers will find mogul terrain for all abilities, from beginner bumpers right through professional competitors.  Expect to find moguls on more than 15 runs at Mt. Ellen this season! Click here to read the mogulskiing.net news article on the new mogul-centric Mt. Ellen operational plan.

Some popular mogul choices at Sugarbush include FIS, Black Diamond, Hammerhead, Tumbler, Cliffs, Encore, Bravo, Exterminator, Lower FIS, Semi-Tough, Twist, Moonshine, The Mall, Stein's, Spillsville, Paradise, Castlerock Run, Liftline, Middle Earth, and Morning Star.
